Sep 28 2010, 3:48 PM

felix (guest): bisogna riconsiderare i rapporti tra arte e societá nell'ottica della globalizzazione.La questione fondamentale rimane il rischio di condizionamento della espressione e le relazioni con il potere.

Djarnis Trifli: hi AA !

SCHEDULE AND PEOPLE - The Arts Assembly

var s0={};var s1={};s0.description=null;s0.descriptionHtml=null;s0.descriptionShortHtml=null;s0.externalId=null;s0.imageUrl="http://images.cdn.chatroll.com/images/D/E/F/DEFAULTGRPI-resizecrop_90x68.jpg";s0.itemId="aVyXsZAei93";s0.itemType=1;s0.itemTypeVideo=false;s0.title="SCHEDULE AND PEOPLE - The Arts Assembly";s0.titleHtmlWbr="SCHEDULE AND PEOPLE -<wbr/> The Arts Assembly";s0.url=s1; s1.name="http://www.theartsassembly.org/schedule-and-people";s1.nameHtmlWbr="www.theartsasse<wbr/>mbly.org/<wbr/>schedule-<wbr/>and-<wbr/>people"; myObject={createdTime:new Date(1285849870000),groupId:"C3YdYQ-ge1Z",item:s0,userId:"SqwxurfuF-T"}

Sep 30 2010, 2:31 PM

TheArtsAssembly: It is interesting that you say 're-assemble after..'

Sep 30 2010, 2:36 PM

TheArtsAssembly: It seems to imply that the general strike in Spain - and there are other strikes in Belgium and France which are in some ways coordinated - will create larger effects on society. Perhaps the AA will reflect this new level of discontent.. it is really up to the participating members and the audience. For an AA is an assembly of many different voices and opinions.

Arts Assembly: Thanks for the blog post Lucy.. "it felt like a cross between an artist’s crit and a piece of physical theatre."

Oct 14 2010, 3:28 PM

Arts Assembly: and yes, part of our intent was to polarize opinions..

Oct 14 2010, 3:29 PM

Arts Assembly: without, however, degenerating into simplistic binaries. That is why we use positive and negative criteria, as well as general and meta criteria..

Oct 14 2010, 3:37 PM

Arts Assembly: An enormous, heartfelt THANK YOU to Carmen, director of Molinos del Río Segura, and her staff - especially to Alphonse, who came to open the doors in the middle of the national holiday of Pilar. Incredible amicability, care and love for the processes of art. THANK YOU!!

Oct 14 2010, 3:37 PM

Arts Assembly: MERCI!!

Oct 14 2010, 9:03 PM

Arts Assembly: Thank you Guest170. We are currently updating the Archive and Reverb Space with new video on the TV screen to your right..

Oct 14 2010, 9:04 PM

Arts Assembly: This will show each of the artists' own presentations of the work that was evaluated in the Valuation Chambers.

Oct 14 2010, 10:38 PM

Arts Assembly: That way, you can 1) see the works evaluated in each of the four Evaluation Chambers for yourself (on the TV), then 2) examine the documents produced during the live evaluation processes and their results (on the wooden charter frames), and 3) watch our short films documenting the event (the large projection).

Oct 14 2010, 10:40 PM

Arts Assembly: Your participation may include 4) writing about any of the Valuation Chambers at Manifesta AA or the final Round Chamber which discussed the concept of CPS and the institutions of Manifesta (use the paper scrollers or this scroller here on our website). Finally, 5) on the 'meta' level, you can criticise the AA itself, propose changes to the Charters of the Chambers (on the frames to your left), or write your own Charters, or even propose new Chambers for future Arts Assemblies.
